Steve Johnson is a lifelong financial professional with deep expertise in the consumer-packaged goods, logistics, and distribution sectors. He began his career in investment banking with JP Morgan Chase, where he helped a staffing company grow from $60M to $100M.
Steve has held roles at Invesco as an Equity Analyst, Trussway as a Financial Analyst, and Smith Graham Investors as an Equity Analyst. At Coca-Cola of Florida, he served as CFO during a $1.2B carve-out, raising over $700M, setting up ERPs, and overseeing growth. Most recently, he worked with Ventura Foods, a $3B company in the CPG space, as an Advisor and Fractional Treasurer to the CFO.
At R8 Holdings, Steve manages the financial model, budgets, and projections, while partnering with the Chairman on financial structuring projects. He performs due diligence on acquisition targets, builds data rooms, and works closely with financial institutions investing in R8 and its portfolio companies — ensuring seamless, accurate processes, all while keeping the team laughing along the way.
